Full name: Ender Jordan Chase
D.O.B: July 19, 1993
Age: 14
Year: 10
Family background:
Ender (or JD, as he prefers to be called) was the result of artistic parenting gone awry. His father was part of an acting troupe visiting from London, and his mother was a (for lack of a better word) groupie with a P.H.D. in psychology. Boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love, boy and girl get smashed and married in Vegas during a party, boy and girl wake up the next morning and decide to try it anyway, boy and girl have two children, and 14 years later boy and girl get divorced.
The product of their failed romance was JD and his sister, who is two years younger. When they got divorced JD was given the opportunity to choose between his parents, and like any nearing-puberty boy he chose to move back to England w/ his dad. However, what with touring with his troupe and trying to find Mrs. Right Version Two, he wasn’t ever really around. Consequently JD was raised by several air-headed young women and whatever neighbors in the complex they lived in would care for him in his father’s absence. He became a digital youth and spent most of his free time on his computer, keeping in touch with his friends from the states and keeping up with the music scenes in his area.
At the age of 12 he started getting into fights at his school, by the time his 10th year came around the reports to his father were one too many. He was sent to Sheraton at the beginning of the next term.
Looks:
JD would be considered a pretty boy by most standards. At 5’7”and 130lbs, he gets pegged as an easy target, and with his Calvin Klein model looks and athletically trim build he often got harassed in school. Years of defending himself and going to a lot of hardcore and punk shows have given him a rather interesting view of self defense that has become his online tag line: “There’s no such thing as a big strong knee cap.” This look at fighting has ended up with a few scars, one of which was inflicted by a knife on his right forearm that severed his tendons and nerves. He therefore has no feeling in his right hand, though it is fully functional. The rest are regular wear and tear from too many quick scraps in the lavatory.
Variations on the uniform:
He generally keeps to the uniform, though not always in the way it was intended. He has found the ties make for good belts, and rarely finds a reason to wear the blazer, though the school emblem IS on his button-up shirts. Usually on one of the many buttons or pins he wears. The dark shoes also double as his skating shoes, and his trousers happen to be his favorite pair of jeans dyed black. Outside of class he usually changes into a t-shirt and regular jeans, occasionally adding on a comfy oxford shirt. His clothes are usually comfortable and broken in and lean towards the slim-fit-but-too-long style. The same goes for his uniform.
Personality:
Years of fighting because he was a “Yank” have put JD in a more defensive turn of mind that is really required, but he feels it’s better to be on guard than surprised when you’re not paying attention. He tends to use the term “gay” to refer to things he deems stupid, though he himself is leaning towards a 7 on the Kinsey scale. However, he will beat you for using the word “retarded” out of context, on account of his younger sister being autistic. Being at a new school has put him on edge, and he is easily offended and made suspicious by the littlest things.
Other points of interest:
JD gets very little money from either parent other than tuition. However, he doesn’t need it. A few years ago he did a very successful commercial for a shoe company, and put the money he made into an account where is steadily grew as it collected interest. At the age of 13 his grandfather on his mother’s side passed away and left him another small but still generous sum in his will. JD uses this for pocket money, and spends it mostly on music, concert tickets, and cigarettes. Although he is only 14, he has been smoking for a year now, thanks to being taught how to by his father’s last (and JD’s favorite) girlfriend, Tricia. Tricia also was the only girlfriend of his father’s to talk to him regularly, and JD still keeps in touch with her through e-mail.
JD is really a bright and talented young man. He just thinks it’ll hinder any chance he has of being a “normal guy.”
He never really got rid of the habit of “acting American,” as his father puts it. He once scared his dad’s pants off by walking around all day in a suit and speaking in a perfect London accent. His father told him to stop it.
Avatar will be up really really soon. I’m modifying it. J
