Real Name: Nathan Chase Messer Cross.
Name Commonly Used: Chase Cross.
D.O.B: July 6th 1992
Age: 15
Year :11
Background: Before Chase was born his mother, Anna, was a typical rebellious teenager. She became involved with ‘sex, drugs, and rock and roll’ at a young age. At the age of 16, she bought a fake ID and hooked up with several different men; consequently, as a result she became pregnant. Almost immediately after she discovered she was with child, she got an abortion. Not long after, she quickly jumped back onto her old routines.
Her attitude didn’t change until she met a you man named Nathan Messer. She fell in love with the popular womanizer, and it didn’t take long until he noticed her too. They had a relationship together, and just a year after her first abortion, she became pregnant again. She thought against telling Nathan about the child, and decided to perform an abortion behind his back. Her greatest fear was that her lover would leave her, and she didn’t want to lose the man she loved because she got knocked up.
The morning of her surgery Nathan approached the brunette, to her surprise, with her pregnancy test held in his hands. She was positive she had gotten rid of it. In complete dismay, she broke down in her lovers arms and explained that she didn’t want to keep the child. Again Nathan surprised her by holding her close, whispered that he would love to start a family, and proposed to her.
Everyone was thrilled about the idea of the young couples marriage, except for Anna’s mother who refused to allow her daughter to marry the 27 year old man. Anna did the only thing she could do, go against her mother’s wishes. She quickly moved in with Nathan, completely dropped her old habits, and they began arranging the wedding. She changed from a rebellious teenager, to a collected woman within months of living with the love of her life.
Her dreams of a white wedding were shattered, when a week before her wedding Nathan was hit by a drunk driver. The death of her fiancée pulled Anna into a deep depression, and with her mothers help, she gave birth to her son. She named him after her late fiancée, and father: Nathan Chase Messer Cross.
Anna juggled two jobs during the day, and one in the night to make ends meet. To help drown her sorrows, she frequently raised shots of whiskey to her stained red lips. Nathan Jr, was often left with his grandmother, and everyone, including his mother referred him by his middle name: Chase. Chase grew up watching men come and go, and witnessed his mothers heartbreak more times then he could count.
It wasn’t until Chase was 5, and his mother was 23, when they finally found solid ground. During one of Anna’s shifts at a small café, she met a man. He was fairly professional, and had a routine of ordering black coffee every Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 6:45. At first she treated the man like any other costumer, greeting him with a smile and giving him his order. One hot August day, during one of her double shifts, Anna sat outside the back steps of the café on her smoking break. She noticed the young man watching her, and he approached her. His name was Nick Giorgetti.
The simple flirting and dates became serious, and not long after, they got married. Nick loved Chase, and treated him like his own son. The small family of three later moved out of Edmonton, Alberta to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Chase’ childhood was filled with pleasant memories, and he grew up contently with his mother and stepfather. Nothing could rain on his parade, or so he thought.
One summer night, Chase was lounging on the couch watching television when he heard the phone ring. He didn’t pick up the receiver immediately, but the constant ringing began to irritate him. The paramedic on the phone informed Chase that his parents were in a collision. A drunk driver sped through a red light, and crashed into the passengers side of the vehicle. Nick had minor injuries to the head and neck, while Anna was in critical condition.
Chases’ best friends mother drove him to the hospital to see his parents. Without delay, Chase was standing in the waiting room with Nick’s arms around him. He was shocked to see that Nick, the toughest man in his eyes, was crying and gripping onto the young dirty blond as if he was his life support. Chase was confused, wasn’t his stepfather suppose to be the one comforting him?
Chase awoke on the waiting room chair, his body stiff from sitting in an uncomfortable position for so long. Nick was wide awake, completely shaken. His suit was untidy, and he looked exhausted. Plus, the bruise on his forehead looked incredibly painful. Nick explained to Chase that he didn’t know what he would do if Anna didn’t make it. He couldn’t take care of a teenage boy by himself. Chase broke down and cried. The words he never wanted to hear, were drilled into his memory, harsh and cold. His life were crumbling and falling through his fingers, and all he could do was watch in horror as it vanished into the depths below.
Later that week, Nick and Chase were allowed to see Anna in the ICU. Chase hated seeing his mother so lifeless; completely different from the mother he knew. Her brunette locks were cut short, and small chunks of brown hair were visible through the bundle of white bandage. Her once flawless skin was covered in repelling bruises, and several tubes were attached to her brittle body.
Eventually Anna opened her eyes. Chase expected her to smile at him, or sit up and hug him, but instead she just glanced at her son, then at her husband, and shifted slightly to take in her surrounding before closing her eyes again. She floated in and out of consciousness for a few weeks before she started to speak. Again, Chase was surprised when she didn’t immediately speak to him first. She gingerly ran her fingers cross her abdomen while asking Nick if her baby was okay. Nick frowned sympathetically, and shook his head. Anna flashed him a forced small smile, leaned back on her pillow, and started to cry silently to herself. She lost her second child.
Anna’s recovery and stay at the hospital was stressful for Chase and Nick. It became a routine that once the two came home from the hospital, they would argue. During several occasions, Nick would completely lose his mind with anger and frustration, and he would abuse his stepson. Completely astonished and disgusted, Chase refused to speak to Nick. Even when the older man apologized, Chase wouldn’t accept his apology. Nick decided that it would be in Chases best interest to attend a boarding school outside of the United States. He brought this proposal to Anna and Chases’ attention. At first he refused, but once his mother agreed that it was a good idea, he opened several brochures and scanned through the many boarding schools. Maybe time away from his personal life would help him heal, both mentally and physically.
A brochure for an all boys boarding school called “Sheraton Academy” caught his eye, and he eagerly flipped through the pamphlet. His decision was made.
Looks:
Chase looks nothing like his mother. She often told him that he’s a spinning image of his father. The resemblance was uncanny: having long dirty bold hair, and standing tall at 5’11. The one physical characteristic that he inherited from his mother was her sharp blue eyes.
Chase has a few bruises on his arms, back, and chest. He’s fairly uncomfortable and self-conscious when he comes into physical contact with people. He successfully hides his injuries well, and refuses to show anyone.
Variations on uniform.
Chase dislikes the shoes that are provided with the uniform, and will avoid having to wear them at all costs. Instead he wears his luck worn out, blue converse.
Personality:
Chase has a more reserved nature while his mother is the complete opposite. To a certain extent, He isn’t afraid of drawing attention to himself, and generally doesn’t care what others think of him. While others tend to stress over problems, he’s quicker to joke. He’s a fairly honest, and straightforward guy, if he dislikes someone he won’t sugar-coat how he feels. Apparently, he‘s stubborn like his late father, and overlooks people that have a different point of view from his own.
Other points of view.
Chase has trust issues. Around his eighth birthday, he was at his best friend Cody’s house, and he noticed his journal. Curious, he picked it up, and aimlessly flipped through his friends book. He was horrified to read that Cody thought he was annoying, secretly hated him, and used him for his power ranger action figures. He’s hated Cody ever since.
Chase plays the piano, just not very well. Another issue he has: He’s musically challenged.
Chase is usually good at hiding his emotions, and misleading people, but when he’s put on the spot he can’t tell a lie.
He takes an interest in sappy chick flicks, and soap operas. No, he not gay, he just likes having a good cry once in a while. It keeps his emotions in check; well, that’s his excuse anyways.
